As an Additive Manufacturing designer, you are the creative force behind digital products.
You design shapes, surfaces, and structures. You bring them into reality using modern printing technology. You learn how to conceptualize, visualize, and optimize CAD models for FDM, SLA, or SLS printing processes. Thus, you become the bridge between idea and implementation.
In short, you'll become a sought-after specialist in design, architecture, and product development.
Design principles, digital modeling, color and form concepts for additive manufacturing. Introduction to Autodesk Fusion, Blender, and generative design – from sketch to print model. How to design for FDM, SLA, and SLS, plan support structures, and create aesthetic surfaces.
Module 1 · 200 TU · 20 days
Contents: Fundamentals of Additive Manufacturing, Layer Effects & Directional Aesthetics, Support-Minimizing Design, Material & Color Selection, Design Language & Printing Logic
Purpose: You are learning how to creatively utilize the design language of FDM printing, from layer aesthetics and support-free design to material and color effects.
Your benefit: You design objects built perfectly for FDM printing. Aesthetic, functional, and technically clean. This knowledge makes you valuable for creative and industrial applications.
Module 2 · 200 teaching units · 20 days
Contents: Fundamentals of SLA, DLP, and LCD; Detail Accuracy; Dimensional Aesthetics and Microstructures; Transparencies; Color and Material Effects; Post-Processing (Curing, Polishing, Coating); Design for Jewelry and Small Parts
Purpose: You are learning how to creatively utilize the precision and level of detail of SLA printing. From intricate structures to clean surface and transparency effects.
Your benefit: You design high-precision models for jewelry, art, or product design, specifically utilizing the unique material and surface effects of SLA.
Module 3 · 200 teaching units · 20 days
Contents: Support-free design freedom & powder bed logic, Textile-like structures, Lattices & nets, Moving components (joints, hinges, snap-fit mechanisms), Elastic zones & variable wall thicknesses (TPU), Post-processing & surface effect
Purpose: You take advantage of the support-free design freedom offered by SLS to create complex, movable, and organic structures without supports—ideal for functional components and sophisticated designs.
Your benefit: You'll develop functional, durable SLS components that are in high demand in industry, product design, and prototyping—a skill that will significantly boost your job prospects and your value in the workplace.
We'll review your eligibility and funding options.
Learn the tools, materials, and procedures. (600 teaching units distributed over 60 days)
Upon completion, you'll have your own 3D project and a recognized certificate.
With this continuing education program, you’ll open the door to new career fields, ranging from traditional product design to high-tech industries. Your skills will be in demand wherever design and technology converge.

The Employment Agency covers 100 % of the costs.
Soldiers benefit from full funding through the Vocational Advancement Service.
Flexible installment payments are of course also possible.
All answers in one place. Is your question missing? We will clarify it in person during the aptitude test.
If you are eligible for an education voucher (Bildungsgutschein) from the Federal Employment Agency (Agentur für Arbeit - AfA), we can even offer you the entire further training course free of charge.
Male and female soldiers can also have all costs reimbursed through the German Armed Forces Vocational Advancement Service (BFD).
We will tell you the current costs for self-payers during the consultation. Of course, you have the option to arrange a payment plan with us. That way, you can focus on your future first and pay the costs afterwards.
If you have a specific question about the prices or installment payments, then you can sign up here for a short phone call and then usually receive an immediate answer as to whether you are eligible for funding or the conditions for the installment plan.
We will clarify this with your contact person at the Employment Agency.
Here too, it makes sense for us to have a brief conversation in advance to get everything underway.
Then you just have to fill out and sign a form.
We will take care of the rest.
